When tensions with #Iran was high and people feared a draft for their children it made me sick. It showed most people love freedom but when the time to pay comes they leave it to others. Don't worry me and people like me gladly defend freedom without a draft. Semper Fi do or die.
Yes that's true but it's the principle of the thing. We have no drafts because brave men and women volunteer during peace and war. Then if the time comes for everyone else to be randomly selected they all say nah. That feels like a slap in the face. Maybe it's just me idk.

i don't judge people for volunteering, not volunteering those decisions are very personal and there are so many different reasons why someone wouldn't and, again, wealthy people buy their way out of the draft so it is completely rigged and unfair of course people are concerned

Being concerned is natural no one wants to kill people or die. But people were saying things like running to Canada if a draft happened. Life is hard and difficult things must get done sometimes and running from that responsibility is disrespectful to those who do it willingly.
