How do you judge a potential politician? Their party? Vague political stances? Who endorsed them? Just because they are not the current representative?

TBH I look more at their stances on the issues. Even when I was still a registered Dem I didn’t vote all Dem down the ballot.
How would you figure that? From their websites and commercials?
