How does it make any sense that I can buy a handgun at 18 but I can’t buy a beer? If I’m adult enough to make a conscious choice and vote for our leaders, I should be able to make a conscious choice about what I consume.
not while i was in. It was left to the base commander at over sea commands where the drinking age was 18. but in the US it was 21 or face discipline. I had a lot of friends lose rank and money for underage drinking.

Weird. I mean my dad retired in 84 but we always lived close to a base and a swear they could drink in the NCO or purchase on base at 18
