We do, absolutely. Just scared about what he will encounter. Any advice for how we can help him while he’s gone? Can we send letters? Does that make them miss home more? Can we send snacks or anything?
Care packages are always nice to receive. Letters are nice too. Pictures as well are a nice thing to get. Every little thing helps.

Okay! So they will let us send things? That’s so awesome! I never know what’s allowed. It feels like we are going back to boot camp with all this. It’s a bit terrifying though. At least, in boot camp, he was safe, here at home. Now, he’ll be in a whole new country, climate.

It should be allowed I'm sure he can provide a list of things they can receive and things they can't. I would make sure with him first. Yes I imagine it is scary not knowing I've never been on this side of it so I don't know what it feels like. Stay strong.
