So rather than explaining to your kid that they have a less than 1% chance being involved in a shooting, you scare them into thinking they’re next. Also CA has some of the strictest, most unconstitutional gun laws in place, doesn’t seem to curtail anything.
The school had the drill I didn't tell him anything about being next. The school believes there is enough of a chance to do it and apparently by replies other schools do it too. And I talked to all of my kids about it.
