The entrance to PolyU has been turned into a supplies station, handing out gas masks, petrol bombs to those who are joining the fight. A protester told me he has been guarding here for 3 straight dayspic.twitter.com/8DprUONdQh

Sirens, water cannon, petrol bombs.
It is almost midnight in #HongKong, and the standoff continues in PolyU.
Some pro-democracy lawmakers, including Jeremy Tam, said they are contacting gov’t officials in search of a peaceful solution to the standoff tonight.pic.twitter.com/vISPjBNkjr
A live round warning: Police said in a video statement that if protesters at PolyU continue to use deadly weapons - such as petrol bombs, bow and arrow - police will need to respond withb“minimum force”, including live rounds.
Several explosions can be seen at the battlefront between police and protesters outside PolyU, likely caused by the throwing of butane gas canisters with petrol bombs. Earlier, an officer used a microphone and said protesters should “go home”, to people’s jeering.pic.twitter.com/chkgOX7QLM
It is daunting to think that everyone you come across at PolyU - including the chef who cooked late-night noodles at 2am - could potentially be arrested for rioting tonight, if police follow their words.pic.twitter.com/xQRMp9PL3x
I’m calling it a day - after 17 hours in PolyU. Police checked out press IDs and bags as we left. An officer told me “please tell the truth to the world” - in his case, it meant police didn’t kill anyone & were restrained. One could only hope the PolyU standoff turns out fine.pic.twitter.com/vGuXYfQF2X
A valid Press Pass does not exist here as HK Govt does not issue them. More lies from this deceptive government
