Every epidemiologist I’ve heard talks about multiple waves (Spanish Flu had 3). Policymakers, financial markets, and media don’t seem to get this.https://twitter.com/sfiscience/status/1250559615399493636 …

“There is no reason to think that if we relax social distancing that the disease will go away. A second wave in the fall and winter months when we have other circulating respiratory viruses … that’s a very big concern." - @Caroline_OF_B at @bostonherald https://www.bostonherald.com/2020/04/14/reversing-social-distancing-could-spell-major-coronavirus-resurgence-harvard-prof-says/ …

Completely agree, this is why we need an alternative to freeze-in-place strategies:https://santafe.edu/news-center/news/transmission-t-007-danielle-allen-e-glen-weyl-and-rajiv-sethi-how-reduce-covid-19-mortality-while-easing-economic-decline …

What your saying is based on speculation and is possibly more dangerous to our mental and physical wellbeing than the virus itself We do not notice it with seasonal flu or colds so why this one? Fear kills, it already has a very lovely friend of mine. Stop spreading it

40% of people have little to no immunity post exposure. Hot weather doesn't slow it down. Remove seasonality and immunity in population, I don't think we will get waves at all, it just won't go away. Higher peaks perhaps.

Well... the media exists to sell your attention to advertisers. If information is transferred that's nice, but that's not the design.

I think they do get it. That's where the true evil is. This is social manipulation. They know many people are going to quarantine, lose money, and then end up being exposed anyway. It's sinister.
