Today Florida is reporting 216 new Covid deaths (record high) and 9,446 new cases. Those 9,446 cases are from 46,570 tests, a 20% positivity rate. Two weeks ago, Florida was running 88,000 tests per day. We're not testing more. In Florida (and many states) we're testing less.https://twitter.com/EpsilonTheory/status/1288128435328413701 …

Today Florida is reporting 184 new Covid deaths (record high) but "only" 9,230 new cases. Those 9,230 cases are from 49,000 tests, a 19% positivity rate. Two weeks ago, Florida was performing 88,000 tests per day. What is #DontTestDontTell? This.

I think there are many reasons why testing is down in states like Florida & Arizona. I think there are many reasons why test results are delayed in states like Florida & Arizona. I think one of those reasons is a #DontTestDontTell govt attitude in states like Florida & Arizona.

I think people are seeing it takes 10+ days to get results and now won’t even be bothered to take a test

Via @RichardKeppler1 Covid numbers have leveled off, now that CDC has been stripped of number reporting and the White House has all the numbers run through Jim-Bob's data handling and bait shop.pic.twitter.com/WsmQC1eg2g

When does herd immunity kick in? Just curious. Might be the first location in the world.

Ugh it's amazing that we are 6mo into this and people still can't read the data correctly. FL's positivity rate is 12.25% not 20%. 88,000+ tests were done today. Positivity rate counts tests that are done for NEW positives not retests.pic.twitter.com/XpIurXuJth

It has been 2 weeks since FL reported the record daily cases, yet the daily deaths are still below 300. Care to explain why the death rate in FL and the rest of the sun belt is so much lower than NY?

There were far more infections in NY than were confirmed. There weren’t enough tests (on it)
