There's no point in this if you're still on YouTube because you're still supporting the platform Superchats fund my business which builds my ability to work beyond the restrictions of any other company in the future.

And 30% of every single superchat goes to support YouTube. Tonight alone I made more through streamlabs and PayPal and over the past several streams because I keep more of the money donated and YouTube does not get a damn dime

I can respect both decisions. Only thing is I’m worried how much impact shutting off super chats will have unless a significant amount of channels also follow that plan. There’s 20 mil+ channels. Maybe around 5-8 mil monetized going by this chart.pic.twitter.com/W0HH3I33ar

Understand the sentiment. I support
@OdinsMovieBlog in most things, can't get behind this. Shutting down super chats is not the way to go. Monetize haters. Make videos. Sure would look pretty bad if pride month on YouTube was all#VoxAdpocalypse videos. Making one right meow..3 replies 0 retweets 12 likes
Theoretically it could do something if a mass amount of channels especially million plus sub channels did it. It’s a commendable attitude just not practical. I support Odin with $1-$2 super chats when I can. My main way to support so was thinking about it.
