my version of the 'Berenstein Bears' thing is, I feel like I remember a time/universe when/where if you said 'Quarter Pounder' they didn't assume 'with cheese'. Without cheese was the default on all things (as only makes sense. IF I WANTED CHEESE I'D HAVE SAID WITH CHEESE)

"This perfectly good patty of meat, could you slather cheese made from the milk of *the same animal* on top of it?" wtf where did this idea even come from
-
Its delicious therefore it displaced its ridiculous naked patty brethren as the default. Capitalism WORKS
-
this is what i'm talking about. what universe is this
-
‘But what kind of animal eats stuff made out of the milk of other animals?!’ I dont know, the smartest one?
-
with the meat of the *same animal* tho feels incestuous at least mix it up (goat cheese on hamburger is ok)
-
Still delicious
-
still shouldn't be the default in no way shape or form does or should 'i would like a hamburger' imply they should put a slice of cheese on the hamburger there's a reason 'with cheese' was necessary at least where i come from THIS IS IMPROTANT
-
If you say hamburger maybe but if you just say burger the assumption is cheeseburger as it should be
