Vancouver, BC is a small city but as of January 1st all new permit applications for housing 3 storeys & under (70% of new home square footage) will not be able to heat space or hot water with fossil fuel like gas. Not that hard to do in West Coast cities. Meanwhile, states like Georgia, where I live, are trying to ban local governments from banning gas.
