These changes you've made can be much more devastating to some smaller channels than others! Mainly those such as animators who's content takes an immense amount of time for just a few minutes or seconds! And yet you expect them to get 4000 hours of watch time a year!?

Yes but I think they've made a comeback in the last year with all the animation channels that have blown up. Youtube even acknowledged their existence for once by getting many of them in last years youtube rewind. But I think this will discourage many smaller animators out there.

Those weren't animation channels. I watch them. They're "animated storytime" youtubers. The animations are a few frames that they repeat with some still drawings as they tell a story. Extra credits is just stills that they repeat with simple drawings as well. /1

and even then their treatment of them during the rewind was absolutely horrible. You can look into that with Rebecca Parham. And even with all that those animations that they did for the rewind were the best that they'd ever done really at least content wise. They didn't /2
