We received the package on 28th May and to our surprise when we opened the package, it had one old CD/VCR player which was almost same weight as of Mac Book Air and hence there was no suspicion while we collected it from the courier boy.

Upon acknowledging that we have been duped/cheated, we straightaway called the courier boy(Arvind - 8010790283), and he said he doesn't care what was in the box and refused to come back to the office and left us high and dry.

We immediately called Paytm Mall Customer care and as per their written code of conduct they said they have escalated the matter and are looking into it at priority, we sent them an email almost every 2nd day, called every day

and finally to our dismay today on 12th June they sent the below email. (Reference No.: 68080926) "Dear Harjot, This is regarding your concern for receiving a product of inferior value for order ID 5225474370.

We launched a full scale investigation and our checks have confirmed that correct product was delivered to you.Therefore, we will not be able to proceed your request further. Hope this helps. Sincerely Paytm Mall Care"

Now left with no other option, we are sending a legal notice to paytm and filing a case in Consumer Forum which easily would take 2-3 years to resolve. But Paytm Paytm Mall, one thing is for sure that

I would make it a life mission to ensure that you don't do this to any other customer who trusts you with hundreds and thousands of hard earned money. I would request everyone not to use Paytm Mall to make purchases and

Automated tweet from paytm is the worst part of this thread ! How your case is resolved soon. This is good warning to not trust indian ecommerce sites for expensive purchases. Don’t even trust amazon on this but will definitely avoid paytm for complete lack of responsibility

Paytm customer care is shit and you'll get diff response each and every time. Just call then again and again and force them for refund/replacement

Not exactly paytm fulfilled but Paytm Assured which assures the seller you've been buying from is authorized by brand of which product you're buying.

That doesn't help paytm or the customer to know whether the seller is sending a parcel containing a new laptop or an old DVD player

Yup true, that's why amazon fulfilled and flipkart assured which have their own warehouse so extra charges for seller for these services. Paytm doesn't have anh similar thing. No wonder a well Layout transparent product review system on site would shut their bison down

No reviews is a huge drawback on paytm I bought a portable HDD couple yrs ago & paytm sent very old one with much reduced warranty. They honored return but I lost the offer & also offer on on another site. So net loss
