Eating less meat is nearly always better for your carbon footprint than eating the 'most sustainable' meat. The ‘worst' peas, beans, tofu and nuts still have a lower footprint than the ‘best’ meat and dairy. Latest article:

If you have a PhD, Master’s degree and Bachelor’s, but treat others who don’t with a sense of superiority and indifference you have learned nothing. Your education is seen in your character and humility, not in your college degree.

Earth physically rotates in 23hours 56min relative to distant stars – a Sidereal Day, BUT it takes 24hours to rotate relative to the Sun – a Solar Day The difference? Earth orbits the Sun, so the Sun appears to move (down, in the vid), which means Earth needs +4mins to catch up!

Scheduled to be on tomorrow morning to talk about the star Betelgeuse, and why it’s currently grabbing the attention of astronomers! What’re the chances it’ll go supernova between now and then...? 🤔⭐️💥📻

In a messy, sometimes cruel world, I’m so glad did what it did. Their message of working towards being the best you that you can be, and just... being good to other people. That’s what matters. And they did it in such a wholesome, funny way. ❤️

How do cats just... know? She doesn’t come to us for snuggles very often (she’s a strong independent cat who usually likes to keep herself to herself). But she plonked herself down on my legs earlier this evening, and her purrs just make things better. ❤️

You can drag the lass out of Europe, but you can’t take Europe out of the lass. I’m as much European as I am British, English, and Yorkshire, and today doesn’t change that. Lots of love to all my European friends! 🇪🇺❤️🇪🇺❤️🇪🇺

I'm trying to break into the corporate/professional speaking circuit. I need testimonials from people who've heard me give talks at , , , or any talk. Or if you know booking agents looking for speakers. Thanks!

Wow, I love this! Magnetic field lines are often represented in 2-D drawings and you kind forget they also come out of the page towards you as well. Cool, cool ... now let's try this with a exact same sample size piece of a pulsar and see what happens ...

New: Jupiter's dynamic atmosphere Constructed from real images taken by Cassini. The belts (brown regions) are warmer than Zones (light regions), and both move at 100s of km/h east and west, often against eachother. Zones correspond to upwelling gas and belts show descending gas
