On the 27 March, 2019 there was a vote in the House of Commons on remaining in a Customs Union. It was defeated by 3 votes. That was after the Remainers had "taken control" of the process from the government.

Right. 3 years after Ref, a motion was tabled by an MP that narrowly failed to pass. When did the govt offer staying in the SM? Or staying in the SM and CU? Or staying in the CU only? When did that happen?
