i’m an essential worker was looking to leave my job before this happened and now i have no where to go. only choices i have is unemployment hold out and hope i don’t get sick
You can't collect unemployment if you quit your job, meaning essential workers are stuck. This has *always* been the trade-off for workers. Do I go to work OR: * risk getting into a deadly traffic accident on the highway? * potentially pick up an illness at the office? * contribute to my burgeoning heart disease? Most people would rather have the money.
