I'm used to the ad hominem attacks when there is lack of logically-based counterargument. :) Have a magical day! :)

This is not an ad hominem attack, you should work on your logic expertise. This is merely calling you an asshole, not saying you're argument is wrong because you're an asshole.

That's exactly what an ad hominem attack is :). Thank you for reinforcing my point. Cheers.

No, an ad hominem attack is debasing your *argument* based on a personal attack. Just attacking you is called an "insult" and has no bearing on rhetoric.

Au contraire, ad hominem attacks by DEFINITION are about avoiding genuine debate of substantive issues by turning to insults. By DEFINITION, ad hominem attacks don't "debase" arguments. They are done as insults to AVOID addressing the substance of an issue. QED. :)

You mistake intent. No one is trying to avoid the substance of an issue; we are trying to point out that you're acting like a petulant asshole, and that *that* is the substantive issue.

Well, I’m sorry you see calling out logical errors as evidence of me being a “petulant asshole.” For the record, you’re the only one who has chosen to resort to insults. Some would say that behavior is more representative of a “petulant asshole.”

Some would note you came into my mentions to start a debate I didn't consent to. Go. Away.

I was engaged in this by
@marshallk whom I respect even if we don’t agree 100% on all issues and topics because of his ability to talk about difficult issues and acknowledge errors in the constructive manner in which it was intended - and not as an attack on him as an individual.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes
