I'd very much like this cis man to accurately describe to me the interaction between FDA regulations of anti-androgens, the state of bathroom politics, and pickles. https://twitter.com/victormlee/status/997308952877690881 …

And I'd be very happy to engage on the first two topics. The lattermost I am not informed on. You are also making the exception logical fallacy in your comment, above.

There is only one topic, and there is no logical fallacy. I am not here to engage you.

Well, with all due respect, I think you need to work on your understanding of logic, then. That happens to be an area of expertise for me. Have a good day.

You're such a fucking comical caricature that you argue simultaneously that trans people aren't necessary to shoot down cis people while having *no concept* of the actual topic at hand, why it's relevant, and why it's not a logical fallacy in any way.

Again, you completely miss the point. I am not saying your original argument is entirely wrong. There is legitimacy in saying that it helps to have direct, personal experience when making an argument. I just challenge the conclusion that it is always the only viable perspective.

You are saying that some X people can shoot down opinions on non-X people. This is not up for debate. This is not a matter of pure logic, this is a matter of HOW ACUTAL PEOPLE WORK IN THE ACTUAL WORLD.

It is IMPOSSIBLE in PRACTICE with REAL PEOPLE AND COMMUNITIES to have adequately handle trans/Black/disabled/etc issues without trans/Black/disabled/etc in the room. Period. This is not a universe that operates in pure logic.

Agreed. But you're debating a strawman. I 100% agree that we need people who have LIVED the experience to be in - and drive - the conversation. That's a different argument from your original one, though.

That is *precisely* my original argument.
