The story of Charlottesville didn't begin or end with Heather Heyer's death. There are still people suffering from that attack. White supremacy is still here. The statues still stand. The fight still continues. Here and everywhere.

Tell us what you mean by the people suffering there? I no longer live down south so I’m especially curious. I grew up in MS.

Well, you see, a car drove into them.

I know about that. Sorry I wasn’t more specific. I meant, are there ongoing issues aside from that, which are causing direct pain & problems for people now? (I am horrified by what took place there; I’m keenly fascinated by it all having grown up in MS in the 80’ & 90’s).

I can't believe there are still assholes out there trying to say that Heather Hayer was nowhere near the car, that she died due to poor health.

I'm not surprised. It's a lot easier to either dehumanize her or shift the blame for her death rather than take a hard look in the mirror and admit that maybe, just maybe, your ideology of hate, on the killer shared, lead to someone's death. Intense mental gymnastics, friend.
