The oppressive structures that hold down Black and trans and Native voices and bodies and power are reinforced over and over even in far left anarchist spaces. We need to do better talking about this. "Antifa" as a movement doesn't own the concept of liberation.

So when I see antifascists acting as if state repression was invented for them, I simply shake my head. Slave rebellions were blooming and evolving and failing long before modern fascism even entered the political sphere.

This is not to say that "antifa" or antifascists or any other contemporary activist struggle is not right to be against state oppression. It is to remind those in those struggles to stop centering themselves over objectively older and more severe histories of oppression.
