This doesn't undermine social justice work. We don't stop believing that privilege exists when we do this. But we do acknowledge that all people have perception biases, and we do acknowledge grievances.

Good counter-recruitment turns those perceptions and grievances into solutions and action and learning. It almost always works out better for the person in the end.
