I think Pan is fine, but I have so many problems with Pans telling me that identifying as Bi is trans exclusive and that I subscribe to the gender binary

As a non binary person, I find it useful and it gives us more visibility.

I do think it's important to acknowledge that there are racialised implications to this distinction. Because certain identities are specific to certain cultures, using pan can result in glossing over how whiteness attempts to homogenise and render everything accessible to itself.

Obviously, I'm not even remotely interested in policing how people identify, and I think that using pan can be quite liberators and meaningful for a lot of people. We should not, however, engage only in surface-level analysis, and ignore the implications of the language we use.

And your tweets on supporting material gains for racialised queer and trans folks, which I just noticed, are thoroughly welcome and appreciated. :)

I would like to question the "in practice almost nothing meaningful". Meaningful to whom?
