I used to do that kind of shit until someone took me aside and explained to me why it was not only dumb, but harmful. I'm not perfect by any means, but I'm glad I know _what_ sparks that kind of behavior, and _why_ it is unhealthy.

And the "what" was not really that hard to get. Almost every time I punched a wall, it was because I was deeply disappointed in myself for failing at something and didn't know how to process it. I didn't know that failure was OK, that I just needed to learn from it.
