It's hilarious how they claim students are intolerant of different perspectives while being intolerant of the students having a different perspective.

I do not think you are paying attention. Most violence in these cases is coming from people who outwardly oppose the principle of free speech on grounds of moral posturing about sensitivity over information. The ideology just tells them to go ahead w/o consequence.
-
Of course, most students *are* tolerant of free speech principles, as we are often reminded. Your position is not worth bragging about.

"Most violence in these cases is coming from people who outwardly oppose the principle of free speech on grounds of moral posturing about sensitivity over information." Objectively false.

Are they as tolerant as you would like when it comes to bashing cars with objects?
-
i see: you must be referring to when all those people involuntarily battered that helpless ford camaro going 60mph with their own bodies out in charlottesville last year
-
Was the kid with autism driving that fast before or after they bashed his car?
-
before: they managed to slow him to a halt using their limbs and their lives but he did manage to reverse out of that afterwards
-
There were good people on both sides
-
i seriously hope you don't mean "on both sides of the steering wheel"
-
Why won’t you acknowledge his car got bashed before he accelerated?

It's easy to pick on the outliers, but most of those being protested and not allowed to speak on college campuses are not nazis. They're normal people who are on the right of the political spectrum.
-
The important thing to remember is that free speech only works if it's wholly free. The moment we normalize the ability to curtail speech it can be used by really bad people to do really bad things.
