There is literally nothing more pointless or fruitless than going on and on about what the Constitution says about war powers. It hasn't been relevant in 15 years. Neither Obama nor Bush were hindered by it. It's not going to start being relevant now.

It's literally as effective as those laws that say you can't ride a horse on Main Street on Sundays.

Agree, but I don't think that means we shouldn't point it out. We should. Prominent congresspeople are reinforcing the message. It matters.

Prominent Congresspeople are reinforcing it simply because they're mad they didn't get their pound of flesh, too. Prominent Congresspeople have plenty of other material in this admin to work with and are doing nothing.

It's one of the most important constitutional distortions of the Cold War era and it means everything to this country to rectify it going forward. It's a clear violation of the Constitution. Our nuclear arsenal should not be at the whim of one person's impulses.

Again, this has been the case for almost 20 years and we're suddenly worried about it now? It's the Constitution that needs an overhaul, because we have already debased the document so badly that we led ourselves here.

It's like when you go to make pizza, but you keep eating the shredded cheese by itself, then you don't have enough cheese for the pizza and your pizza sucks. The problem isn't the cheese.
