I always imagined an active shooter situation happening at my old tech company (and tried to mentally prepare for it) and seeing it happen elsewhere is horrifying

I don’t even know how I’d prepare for it. Conference rooms with glass walls. Where the hell would I even hide?

Tip over the tables. Barricade the doors. Lay flat, cheek flush to the floor. Stay away from walls. Bullets follow walls.

If you have to run, run zigzag patterns at short bursts, getting around corners as fast as possible, stay on the floor otherwise and crawl.

FWIW, activist NVDA trainings will sometimes covet active shooter situations. It might be worth checking your local area to see if anyone puts these on.
