Courage was hearing that car slam into those bodies and moving into action. Courage was seeing the blood run down the street. Courage was standing face to face with a soldier of no army, face to face with a policeman's riotshield.

I find it pretty obscene when we treat marginalized folks as if their struggles and pain are inspirational. The only thing it should inspire is fury and a strong urge to ensure fellow humans don’t need to struggle with this.

Tbh when people post stuff like "I love your courage" and "you're so inspirational" it just ends up coming off like "thoughts and prayers" like ok thanks but that doesn't really mean much when there's more important stuff going on
