Apparently one of my cats ate a small strand of dental floss. I know this because it's hanging out of her butt like a ribbon. *sigh*

DO NOT PULL IT. Please monitor that it comes out when she goes. If it does not, it may have started to bunch up in her intestines and can cause an emergency situation (linear foreign body). I'm a former licensed vet tech, dealt with this on numerous occasions

Oh I know. If she doesn't pass it today she goes to the e-vet.

Lol our childhood dog did this once with a balloon and it was sticking out. Sadly, it didn't actually inflate. :/

We had to switch to unflavored floss ages ago because the mint was attracting the little cat like drugs. Now she watches us when we floss and cries.

I had to get a covered trash can for my bathroom. I had one who kept eating floss (at least she would vomit it back up).

My boxer ate a rubber nytril glove once. Just the finger was hanging out. He then farted and the finger inflated. I've never been more grossed out.

A cat (since passed) in our family earned the nickname "El Señor Gato del Stringbutt." It was more than a small strand, and it involved a vet visit, some oil, and a box of rubber gloves. Fun times.
