I'll be in the courtroom today to support Deandre as he faces this nonsensical misdemeanor charge.

In a bond hearing for Dan Borden, one of his attackers, ACA Antony already took the position that Deandre didn't injure his accuser. So this case is about whether it was a crime to use minimal force to separate two other fighting parties.

Deandre's charge stems from him swinging something to separate two people fighting over a flag. He swung to hit the flagpole out of their hands. This was moments before he was savagely beaten by at least 6 men.

Because of this trial, Charlottesville will have white supremacists back in town; many of the same people who caused us terror. We survive through solidarity. None of us are really okay. We just survive because we have to.

What you see in this case, read through national news, blogs, twitter, whatever doesn't capture how we are here on the ground. But we make it somehow. Justice for Deandre.pic.twitter.com/a63CQYMTnL

...he hurt the white supremacists’ fists with his face and their toes with his back?

So he didn't cause the injuries, but still got a charge? Are the charges for hurt feelings? What a farce!
