What I said: 2 weeks ago I asked why teachers won't strike in solidarity with students, the response I got was it was illegal. Now: despite questionable legality, two states are holding or planning work stoppages (unrelated). My thesis: Legality is not a good blocker.

One last thing, since you seem to be so ignorant of how the rest of this works: when people say it would be "illegal" for the teachers to participate in a political walkout they don't mean the teachers would go to jail, they mean the teachers would be fired. Unions. Look them up.
