Before Charlottesville, I was one of the most targeted people by the Nazis, to the point where they literally plotted my murder. Unarmed on A11, I was attacked and gassed by a crowd that outnumbered us 10:1. On the 12th, I had to carry arms for defense.

I was then part of the crowd that was attacked--with exactly the same method they discussed killing me with. I nearly had to use those arms at that moment. I don't like to think about what might have happened if circumstances were different.

Today, I continue to be targeted for violence. I have been told I am the right's number one enemy. There have been attempts on my life since that day.

I support gun control. But that gun control looks like removing all guns, including those from the police. Until then, I am a highly-targeted trans woman of color who has survived murder plots, terrorism, and swatting. Your gun control take is not more nuanced than mine.

I support limitation on magazine capacity, banning the .223/5.56 rounds, and several other measures that can be applied equally. I also support fully removing all guns.

I do not support measures that result in more gun imbalance in the favor of white supremacists.
