So it means something to hear someone, anyone, admit that they let us down that night. I still don't believe anyone has the genuine will to keep me safe. But maybe I can be willing to start the conversations again.

The revelations in the Discord logs that show how specifically I was targeted, and how violently, and how it was largely BECAUSE I was trans, tell me that we're still a long way from reaching that point.

Well, as one who was trapped in the church, I can tell you that a fair number of church folk lost faith that night--faith in gov't that is. There were mainstream moderate to liberal church types who got radicalized that night.

We in the church did not experience "refuge, security and shelter." Anything but. 2 threats were called in to the church during the service, and we were placed on lock down, anticipated Nazis crashing in (one had infiltrated and streamed part of service).
