This probably doesn't bode well for his lawsuit, and would give Google a nice piece of ammunition to use in its defense.

It's really something else that there's such a high threshold for speech to become unprotected, but he still managed to clear it.pic.twitter.com/0AOJGaUb3p

Silicon Valley is very discriminatory towards world views that don’t lean left. The liberalism is very fake. You can’t say your tolerant while being unwilling to respect conservative views. What happened to the old California? Peace love and co existence

Cannot wait until this piece of

I worry about this. This is a tactically stupid decision for decent people. It lets Damore be the underdog fighting thew biggest corporation in the world. It lets him frame himself as a free speech advocate, and lets a big company with data on everyone decide what's acceptable 1/
-
You don't see that blowing up in our faces in a different context? You don't see what tactical damage it does to let Damore present himself as a victim in this way? And most importantly it doesn't address the factual content of the memo. Which is garbage, btw 2/
-
The memo, like everything these alt-right Nietzsche (Jordan Peterson, etc) is non-scientific. It is factually false and they don't even argue it well. It must be fought on the basis of "This is objectively wrong" not "This is damaging to women". You've ceded the argument. 3/
-
You let Damore frame it as a debate between the right of scientific progress vs the right of workplace safety. You do that, science WILL win. That's why evo psych idiots give their base, routine, sexism pseudoscientific language in the first place. It's a very effective tactic.
-
It's not about any of what you just wrote. It's about being able to fire someone who creates a disruptive environment in the workplace and makes it difficult for other employees to do their jobs.
-
Perhaps, but that's not what is happening. They are literally claiming that citing a peer reviewed scientific paper is sexist. It would be far more intellectually honest to say, "These discussions aren't what you are paid for. Get back to work."
-
But OMG censorship etc so we make the problem worse by saying "We encourage all speech, just not *this* speech." If Damore had ever discriminated against an individual, then hang him on that. Not a generalised statement that targets a process, not a person.
-
His statement reveals that he cannot value women's contributions fairly because of his acknowledged bias. And freedom of speech doesn't actually mean that you have the right to create a hostile environment for your colleagues

Now I'm imagining the "Diversity Memo Challenge" like the Tide pod challenge. His action felt just about as well-considered.

So leftist google is at it again. As retarded as they were when he first wrote it. Funny how saying men and women are different is now discrimination, when before it was "well duh"
-
No this time it's the "leftist" republican majority federal government.
