I normally wouldn't care. But the NYT seems to optimize for Nazi apologetics these days.

I don't really have it out for Quinn. She's a survivor and I wish her well. I also wish her to stop being a Nazi apologist. I only even replied at her because I figured she'd have empathy. I was wrong. But I have no intent to drag her.

I just tried to cancel my subscription to
@nytimes and it requires an email and a gd call to their "care" center. My reason? Quit hiring Nazis. They're so FOS.pic.twitter.com/qmw1H9sY4u
-
They make you work for it since they can't seem to figure out how not to be offensive. I've heard the faster way is to just call.
-
True, that’s how I did it - over the phone. Reason: WaPo dserves my money.
-
Lol WaPo just hired Megan McArdle so maybe save your money for now

Dear
@nytimes: re-consider the hiring of someone with such a questionable background regarding bigotry, or I will re-consider whether I continue my subscription and encourage others not to continue theirs.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

This is offensive. My relatives who were killed in the Holocaust were victims of Nazi violence. The men in my grandfather's unit who died liberating Europe were victims of Nazi violence. Don't refer to yourself as a survivor like your little streetfight was Normandy or Auschwitz
-
The camp survivors living still who warn about the rising tide of fascism as exhibited here undermine your claim.

Yeah, the
@nytimes is really digging at the bottom of the barrel lately. Apparently, they felt the Neo-Nazis weren't well represented enough in their news C'mon now, NYT, you know better than this - 1 more reply

Humans make mistakes. No point taking personal attacks. If people make mistake say sorry and move on. Bigger issues exist than egos. Kids starve daily. Polar bears starvin too. Go look at my page.

Turning violence into something silly is a Nazi tactic for brainwashing society into auto minimizing atrocities. So, no. No free pass for
#sillysticks. -
Real tactic is wasting time. Time is most valuable resource. Next is minimizing stress, go challenge the rulers not emotional children on Twitter. Talk is cheap. Are you cheap? Reply if you are.
-
"Talk" is not cheap in America, where free speech is the foundation of liberty. And it's not a waste of time to point out that some Nazis are attempting to re-brand themselves as a bunch of silly LARPERS to make themselves look harmless, but their TALK is still dangerous.

Your responses have all been diplomatic and mature. It was offensive to me to see her respond to your request for empathy (partially for a woman who was killed!) with a "how dare you malign because I have different opinions!" She was not arguing in good faith.

What are you talking about? I can't even tell if this was half-sarcasm or which side in this you're advocating for. It's never gonna be cool to act like Nazis are just benign folks. They're not, and I have to wonder at the sanity of any woman/femme feeling safe with one.
-
Here's where I stand. Nazis with tiki torches are lame and so are you. My opinion is shared by the majority of the country.
-
Have you also considered how lame it is to break out the soapbox when nobody gives a hoot about your tangential grandstanding?

Tell me more about how little you care.
