So here's a small (hopeful) celebration for today: something I worked on will launch on the Falcon Heavy today.

The payload is Musks Tesla along with a dummy in a spaceX space suit.....
-
ugh, I thought they already did that launch
-
Nope, I assumed it was just a joke until i realized it wasnt like 2 days ago..
-
Yeah, it's not a joke. The FAA license lists the payload as the roadster. https://www.faa.gov/about/office_org/headquarters_offices/ast/licenses_permits/media/LLS%2018-107%20Falcon%20Heavy%20Demo%20License%20and%20Orders%20FINAL%202018_02_02.pdf …pic.twitter.com/OQaiTuZAJ7

I wonder if your launch feelings mirror mine? Best outcome: everything works, payload in space 2nd Best: LV explodes, mission over, but not your fault Worst: LV explodes, speculation that your payload may have been responsible
-
Any failures are deffo not my fault, I know that for sure :)
-
Ok but second best is still “phew that totally would’ve worked if it hadn’t all exploded just now” :D
