It isn't even neoliberalism to say it's a good outcome, because capitalism is presently inseparable as a social barometer. There is no social progress not reflected in brand behavior and vice versa. It is ok to celebrate cultural progress and acknowledging the problem of brands.

Capitalism won't be overthrown by denying ourselves enjoyment from seeing ourselves reflected in cultural. Just don't give Coke credit for piggybacking and profiting off queer labor. *That's* neoliberalism.

Also, I wasn't even giving them praise. I was simply saying "this is a thing that happened." I even went out of my way to point out how annoying the "this brand did this awesome thing!" stories are.

They don't spend millions on public research only to ignore the trends they find. One only has to look at the number of adverts currently using revolutionary aesthetic & slogans to sell shit. Ads say *a lot* about where a society is at. Hence the loans, drugs, cars, & gambling.
