A 25th Amendment "solution" is even less likely than an impeachment and pining for it is ableist as fuck.

Even if Russia interfered--and I don't dispute they did--they *at best* managed a swing of a couple of percentage points in a few key states, not severe double-digit shifts. This is your President, America.

If your idea of democratic stability is being a few percentage points away from some combination of authoritarian fascism, race war, economic collapse, or nuclear holocaust, then I don't know what to tell you.

Overwhelmingly? I thought Trump lost the popular vote by over 3,000,000 plus votes.
-
Turns out in a system that doesn't use the popular vote the popular vote is a poor metric

Actually they stayed home and didn’t vote enabling Trump to be elected by a minority. He’s a poster child for compulsory voting like we have in Australia. Everyone has to turn up, sign off, vote or not vote. It works.
-
Mandatory voting would be used as another weapon against the poor- voting holidays, three day voting periods, and increased voting by mail are good starts, as is a ranked preference vote.
-
In Oz, elections are held on a Sat when the majority don’t work, pre poll and postal voting 3 weeks earlier for others. Compulsory to turn up and have name ticked but then you can do anything with ballot, throw in bin, draw a dick or cast a valid vote.
-
half of our government has deliberatly closed polling places or made them require forms of ID a lot of people can’t get, we’re not just fighting apathy we’re fighting active, hostile suppression
-
It’s ingrained here to be registered to vote, a National approach, not state by state. Yes, homeless & others are lost in the net but participation is close to 90% donkey votes around 10% meaning 80% cast a valid vote
-
We don’t even have automatic registration to vote, which is another thing we need to fight for
-
Yes you do. Democracy carries responsibility. Here you cop a fine for not turning up and having your name ticked off. Like I said you don’t then have to vote, just turn up.
-
It is my opinion we need to combat the active suppression and access denial of voting before going in with mandatory, carrot before stick.

Wrong, Emily. 3 million more Americans voted for his opponent. And she STILL didn't win. tRump is a symptom of a bigger problem.

"Overwhelmingly" by what metric? Not the actual number of votes cast. How are you calculating this?

It wasn't overwhelming. Less than 50% of minority of people who actually voted. A politically active group of people, but no majority
