I was looking at this from the context that people were bitching about Mueller, actually, but my primary point was leftists claiming credit for the kind of thing most law academics have been talking about for a long time.

Anyone who does even light reading in the field of law enforcement will learn that grand juries are almost always nothing but a rubber stamp. Claiming that the mainstream is "just now" catching up to what leftists said a month ago is taking credit for decades of academic work.

I find that fundamentally dishonest, whether or not I agree with the political positions of the speaker in question (in this case, I do happen to agree with most of Emily's work to an extent.)
