I have seen many bad takes on Charlottesville from antifascist and anarchists who weren't here and know nothing about this community or organizing in Appalachia and the south.
Don't put Heather's name in your mouths if you're not going to read yourself in on what she marched for in her own community.
The article means that some of the people who would have helped organized agains the fascists were prevented in doing so by looming felony charges and that those that were close to them were also burdened with support over other forms of organizing. This is all true.

Well for one the anti fascists were nearly outnumbered a large portion of the day, but likewise I think it is obvious they could have added more than numbers.
