In Austria right now, thousands are in the streets to demonstrate against the right wing coalition that has taken over several parts of goverment.

A lot of people are also primed to be against it because we had a Coalition like that 15-ish years ago and it turned out to be horseshit. Unsurprisingly.
-
That's good, but it's still frightening to see how much control over polivy they seem to currently have.
-
Yeah. If i wasn't in the UK, i'd probably be with those protesters. Black is now more right-wing than it has been back then and the coalition with the fucking Neo Nazi party makes my stomach turn like a blender.
-
I'm hearing a lot of "but what about AfD?!" but AfD doesn't have nearly this kind or coalition foothold in Germany... yet.
-
Yeah, FPÖ got WAY more votes. Not surprising, considering i grew up in my village with a guy openly proposing that gassing jews wasn't that bad.
-
Plus, the FPÖ has been around. It's "legitimate" having been created right after we became independent again (ignore that it's been created by Fascists, right?). The AfD in comparison is... childs play.
-
Thanks for the context. I try to keep up but only so much I can do between translation-distilled punditry and the fact that my American brain can't comprehend Parliaments.

Just hoping with Sweden’s vote next year ppl will look ahead a few steps & realize in order to slow down our racist party (SverigeDemokraternas), ppl will need to vote for the stronger opposition party. My vote is needed to help others who would be hurt otherwise.
