US elected officials do not have to swear on *anything.* Although my little Religious Studies scholar geek-y heart loves the fact that @keithellison swore in on the Koran and @TulsiPress swore in on the Bhagavad Gita. The only thing to swear in on is your word & U.S. Constitution

I view that silence through the lens of his claim earlier in the interview that Tapper doesn't "get it". Swearing on anything else is illegitimate, but Tapper doesn't get it. That's why he downshifts into a tribal scream of "Trump gets it!"
