I allege that Cantwell's overspray affected me. However, that is not the basis for the charge. In other words, the charge is against doing it in a place of public gathering. I simply happen to be one victim. So overspray vs direct spray is immaterial.

They had a permit to protest the removal of the statue. What would have been the outcome if Antifa had not disrupted it? If they were allowed to speak and peacefully protest the statue removal, no one would have been hurt or killed. The protest would have largely been ignored.

No events were permitted on August 11, UVa had no permitting process for gatherings, and the Thomas Jefferson statue is not under contention for removal.

It was not. It was on the property of the University of Virginia.
