Weird how an outcome analysis having spent a bit of time in a country that bans Nazi speech leads me to think "hey this is pretty good"

"If you ban Nazi speech they might next ban yours!" 1. Germany is fine 2. Nazis are attacking me RIGHT NOW 3. I'm already silenced

Sadly, that is the price of a First Amendment.
-
Threats aren't protected under the First Amendment. Speech on privately owned platforms isn't protected under the First Amendment.
-
All kinds of speech is *already* restricted and punished. People always say "THE 1ST AMENDMENT IS FOR UNPOPULAR SPEECH"...
-
...but in practice this means it mainly protects *unpalatable* forms of popularly protected ideals, like white supremacy and heterocentrism.
-
Speech that isn't const protected, fight to restrict it! But any give on const protected speech would lead this admin to push to censure BLM
-
They are already doing that. Protecting the Nazi speech is helping them attack BLM.
-
Two options: 1. Law limiting only Nazi speech (requires const amend). 2. A general weakening of 1st amend (limiting Nazi +other speech).
-
First is basically impossible. Second would be used to stop speech the admin doesn't like. Better fight for regulation by private companies.

Reminder that America is #20 on the "Freedom Index" of countries, and that nations 1-19 ALL have robust hate speech and incitement laws.

Stop being a drama queen. People aren't trying to kill you. You're annoying as hell but not worth all that drama...
-
Having armed police sent to your home is quite dangerous, frogbert. Leave these matters to adults and finish your grammar homework.
-
Were the police there to kill him? No?
-
That was probably the hope of the one who called the threat.
-
Big assumption. And you act like police are there to just kill people. Ridiculous.
-
It's a favorite pastime of your kind. Can't blame me if the shoe fits, kid.

I'm not affiliated with any group or organization and am one of a kind. Pretty sure I'm older than you too.

Typically lefty coward. Block me because you can't have a conversation.
