and I saw a person on the other side. I had no shot, and then the attacker ran. So the threat diminished and I reholstered.

If you clip the femoral artery they're just as dead. You aim for center mass, period, else you're likely to kill someone else.

I disagree. It's really not practical. The cops should be disarmed and abolished. Nothing about that situation called for a gun present.
