These people can't protect anybody, and especially can't protect women in *any* way from the danger we're all vulnerable to.

But that doesn't stop them from extolling the need to "protect" white women from rape. Anyone paying attention hears the dogwhistle.

Honestly if they can't get out of the way of a straight jab to the face, I'm not sure how they think they can "protect" anyone else.
