Sadly I'm toying with unity which is pinned to 4.x That said, the progress that mono has made is *outstanding*

Unity runs a mono fork that is way behind Mono currently. It limits you to .Net 2.0. There are some issues.

Is this true even of unity on windows? I'd imagine so, since it needs to be 100% compatible. I thought I read they upped it to 4, recently..

It was the last time I was developing, and that was unity 5.x. Note: .Net 2.0 and C# 4 are diff things.
