I wanna talk a little bit vulnerably about this path I've taken this year that led me to this place.

I brought my activism to my community because I walked some of the places in the world where deep evil planted its seeds.

And I didn't want some future generation to walk through UVA like I walked through Bebelplatz. This is why I act.

I will visit these sites again, to hold that space in my heart again, to connect with those souls, and hope they know that we fought back.

The original prison cells in the basement are especially harrowing. And of course the "Stolpersteine" (tripping stones) in front of houses

I saw those in Prague and Berlin, too. They're without adequate words to describe them.

They're aptly named. You cannot physically trip over them of course... But they still always tripped me up.
