Really? It has also been used to describe non-autistic people's behavior as well for at least as long, without comparison, no?
right but what I'm saying is "meltdown" to describe a tantrum is a usage at least as old as I am. that's what I'm getting at.

Like I definitely don't associate, "X is having a meltdown" with "X is acting like an autistic person," but I do think that not thinking...
