I'm gonna talk a little bit about what I'm going through after witnessing and surviving a terrorist attack.

It's hard to commit to my needs. I don't know what they are. I feel most comfortable around the people who were there.
-
I wish we could all gather around with our families and just have a little haven for a month, disconnected from the world.
-
This sounds like PTSD. Don't fall down into the pit, this world needs more people like you. Seek therapy if it doesn't ease up.
-
I have a therapy appointment this afternoon. I recognize the symptoms, particularly the group trauma. Speaking about it publicly helps.
-
I'm going through a mild version of what you're talking about - not able to focus on work, hard to talk to people who weren't there, and
-
...I didn't experience anything near what you did. I was safe, just nearby. I keep thinking of everyone who experienced the biggest trauma.
-
Because I know if I, who didn't even see any violence with my eyes, am experiencing a little, then you all are experiencing a LOT.
-
Thank you for sharing your feelings about it. I'm sure that will help you and other people who experienced what you did.

Living and working downtown is surreal. The inability to avoid it. Wish media would go.
