I'm quoted in this one, too, and there's a story here.https://twitter.com/chrisgeidner/status/896956805812817920 …

I reached out to CJ after he was disinvited by Kessler. We established a dialog.
-
A week ago, I drove to Roanoke and gathered friends for a security detail. We agreed to meet in a park.
-
The meetup was heavily armed: I was carrying, as was my bodyguard and CJ's. We shook hands.
-
We talked for an hour about our political beliefs, what we did and didn't have in common, and both agreed the event was trouble.
-
We also agreed that white nationalism was the real issue, we both rejected it and knew it would lead to something bad.
-
From that, we came to an agreement: we would encourage everyone we knew not to instigate against one another.
-
Then we shook hands and left. Two people, opposite sides, both determined to fighr against Nazi ideology.
-
When I say I did everything in my power to make this non-violent, I want you to picture me and a threeper sitting at a picnic table, armed.
-
With no reason to trust each other. With armed security flanking us, watching each other.
-
We came out of that determined to do everything in our power to prevent bloodshed.
-
I don't agree with a lot of CJ's politics. But I knew he stood against Nazi shit and unchecked it would lead to disaster.
-
We both ended up on that street yesterday. We tried our damndest. I want to think we succeeded.
